Children At A Wedding

Many couples don’t invite young children to a wedding because they can be a distraction in the ceremony, especially if they become bored or irritable.

But what if you are marrying later in life? You will want your own children to be involved, right?

The hugely popular “Marrying Mum & Dad” is now into its 7th season. TV hosts @edpetrieofficial & @naomi_wilkinson1 make shows lots of fun, but it is equally as popular because for so many children they would love to help organise their own parents’ wedding.

As a father of 3, ex-teacher & headteacher, I have a deep understanding & experience of how to get children involved & engaged in your wedding ceremony.

Whilst it is popular to have children as flower girls, pageboys & bridesmaids, I am privileged to be involving children in 3 weddings ceremonies this year.

There are many unique rituals like hand fasting, sand-blending & jumping the broom which can be weaved into your personal & meaningful wedding ceremony. Your children need not be bystanders, you can involve your children. It can be both charming & dignified. I don’t promise wacky elements as seen on the TV show, but you will have many gorgeous moments to be captured by your photographer or videographer. You & your children will be delighted.
