What fabulous photographic memories by Martin Hillary photography of Rebecca & Sam’s gorgeous wedding ceremony at the stunning Oakwood at Ryther, North Yorkshire.

As Barn Wedding venues go, The Oakwood at Ryther is one of the best.. Set in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside near Settle, it is easy to get to and is beautifully appointed. There are large barns for the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast as well as accommodation for the couples’ guests.

It was great getting to know Rebecca and Sam and co-creating their wedding ceremony with them. After a warm welcome which featured Rebecca and Sam’s “love story” about how they met, how their relationship developed and how Sam proposed Rebecca, we had a beautiful reading by friend, Sally before Rebecca and Sam read their personal wedding vows & promises to each other. Friend Ricky, who made Rebecca & Sam’s wedding rings, assisted me with the ring exchange before “the kiss”.

After signing their wedding certificate, friend Josh read a funny poem before I introduced for the first time the newlyweds, Mr and Mrs Ticehurst. It was a happy and joyous day.
