For some couples, the spark happens unexpectedly. Take Anna and Henry, who met in Cambridge through what they describe as “cosmic forces” (or, as Henry insists, a dating app!). What began as a casual coffee turned into long walks exploring the beautiful Peak District in Derbyshire after they moved to Sheffield. When Henry proposed at Stanage Edge with the stunning scenery as their backdrop, it was a moment that connected all the dots of their journey, from their first date to their shared love of running and adventure.

Other stories showcase the strength of a couple’s bond. Sarah and Nathan’s relationship blossomed while they worked as lifeguards at Scisset Baths, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. When Sarah moved to Manchester for university, Nathan took long train rides to see her, often on minimal sleep. Their commitment was tested, but they emerged stronger, moving back to Sheffield after graduation. The proposal, planned during a magical Christmas trip to Lisbon, highlighted how far they had come together and how deeply they valued one another.
