Grave Tending with dignity and care

Grave Tending is an on-going act of remembrance

Grave tending is an on-going act of remembrance. To frequently clean, tidy and maintain a grave is a rewarding act of love but cannot always be kept up by everyone.

Some people may live far away from their loved-one’s grave. It is common for adult children to move away from the place they grew up and where their parents may now be buried. It could be that as a person gets older and infirm, they are physically unable to get down on their hands and knees and tend to a grave.

This is where grave tending services help.

As an active and experienced Funeral Celebrant I also offer my services to tend graves in Sheffield and North Derbyshire. I am a keen gardener and plantsman and so I take delight in working with families not only what flowers they may like me to arrange on their loved-one’s grave, but also, how over time we can make the grave plot a beautiful and sustainable garden. This reduces the need in the long-term to buy cut flowers which, especially in the winter, carry a high carbon footprint.

Grave Tending is a good match as an additional source of income for Funeral Celebrants. We are always out and about visiting next-of-kin and families to discuss funeral services. We are familiar with local cemeteries and burial sites. Funeral Celebrants have a deep understanding of how to make dignified and caring memorials.

I offer my clients a range of subscription plans to chose from. This allows families to have a grave tending service which they can afford and also which meets their needs.
