Making a Personal Tribute

It is wonderful when a member of the family or friend feels able to speak at a funeral. It is not easy however, even for a seasoned public speaker.

Reading a poem or verse early on in a funeral service is often a successful way to achieve personalisation in a funeral ceremony.

Reading a beautiful & fitting but more objective poem can be easier to deliver for someone still grieving than a tribute which may prove too emotional to deliver.

I will always offer to read personal tributes on behalf of friends & relatives. As a professional celebrant it is an honour to read someone else’s words on their behalf.
