What's Your Love Story?
“Let everything happen to you,
Beauty & terror,
Just keep going,
No feeling is final”.
These lines are an extract from the poem “Go to the Limits of Your Longing” by Rainer Maria Rilke.
These words from the Austrian poet are used in the final scene of Taika Waititi’s Oscar nominated film, Jojo Rabbit, which I watched last year & thoroughly enjoyed.
In the context of the film, the message is that love can conquer all hate. The poem goes on to explore that most extreme experiences & emotions won’t last, and time will heal all.
Both the film & the poem are recommended. We all need help, inspiration & hope sometimes to get through tough times.
