I Finally Found Someone by Barbra Streisand

Whether it’s a meaningful poetic verse as part of your wedding ceremony or a track you choose to play as part of your ceremony soundtrack, Barbra Streisand’s “I finally found someone” is a beautiful addition to a wedding ceremony. This simple but powerful love story is relatable to so many couples. It’s a perfect choice.

“I finally found someone, who knocks me off my feet,
I finally found someone who makes me feel complete.
It started over coffee, we started out as friends,
It’s funny how from simple things; the best things can begin.”

“This time it’s different,
It’s all because of you,
It’s better than it’s ever been,
Cos we can talk it through.
My favourite line was
“Can I call you sometime?”
“Yes” was all you had to say,
To take my breath away”.

Streisand’s song, which she recorded in 1996 as a duet with Bryan Adams, was nominated for an Academy Award as it featured in her self directed romantic-comedy movie “The mirror has two faces”. It reached number 10 in the UK charts in 1997.

If you’ve never heard it before, have a listen. I guarantee it’ll join your Spotify favourites playlist. 💕💕
